It was a bit dull today but Jill fancied a walk. After submitting her form for show entries, she continued on a bit further to finally visit Pinhoulland for the Neolithic site. It's only taken four years to get there.
There is the remains of a broch near the croft.
And the area was full of heath bedstraw. Tiny, but pretty.
It wasn't difficult to spot where to go as the site is enormous. There is plenty of evidence of houses, cairns, enclosures and field boundaries. Jill is no expert so it would have been good to have some more information on the layout but the site is amazing and you can see why the site was chosen.
This is a cairn
Jill was joined by some ponies and wheatears.
