Extension progress

We haven't put up anything about the extension recently. Rob has been working on planning applications for solar and air source heat pump. Both have been agreed and approved. Still a bit of tweaking to go on the extension as it is mainly needed for his disabilities.

The outside is coming on. Some of the cladding got damaged by a fork lift so we have a gap.

Hole cut through  for us to access the extension.

Last coat of undercoat on the front door today. Had to but a new can of paint. The one we had was like hallomi cheese but blue!

Internal wall will be load bearing to make it really strong and supported.

Rob had a dentist appointment today as he had a text message saying his appointment had changed. We were pleased, as he hasn't seen a dentist since his sepsis- caused by a tooth abcess, and we were not happy to wait til July. We went in to be told  it's the 28th May, but next year!! After a bit of tooing and frooing they agreed to see him today.  ABOUT TIME!

We stopped at  Melby on the way home. Lovely light and good chats with birder friends. Arctic Skua, Kittiwake, Arctic terns, Common terns, oystercatchers and a winter plummage tystie.
