Amazing Vortex warranty

Nice day yesterday so we went to Robs appointments - all 4, and then headed South. The wind picked up though so we went and looked at Sumburgh to see the waves.

Then it was over to Quendale for the Great Grey Shrike. It was nomming on a larder mouse!

Today the winds had dropped a few birds into the garden. 2 chiff chaff  a willow warbler and 2 blackcaps. The House Sparrows are visiting more often too.

In the post today we had an amazing treat. Our Vortex binoculars got badly damaged flying through the windscreen and bouncing off the A47 during our car accident 5 years ago. We had struggled with them since but didn't feel like it was Vortex's fault so hadn't done anything with them  and the car insurance didn't cover it. ( hadn't spotted it only covered for £250 worth of in car items!) Well we touched base with our friends in the USA at the head office and - guess what- two new pairs arrived today. Can't believe their warranty  is so brilliant!

Will try them out tomorrow and take some photos of them tomorrow. Thank you Vortex.

To make it a great day, we had a naughty cake afternoon with our  lovely friends Sarah and Mark today.  Rob allows himself one naughty day a week on his no carb diet as he has done so well. He has lost 2 stones and 4 inches from his waist.

Lovely day a bit wasted

It was almost summer like today so it was good to be working outside. Jill carried on with the path. It's half done and looking  pretty...
