At last, some sun.

Managed to get a bit of work done outside but it's still been mixed .weather.

Jill painted round the last window to tidy it up.

And chopped up the rubbish wood pile from the old porch and prepared some more skirting. Shame to paint over this guy.

Bruce continued with the rails and newel posts.

The last bits of skirting for the lobby was cut and Bruce started work on the end of the panelled area going into the old extension.

Jill headed to town to pick up another post and a temporary mower as ours is still being repaired.

Did a wee bit of shopping whilst there. Busy in the harbour- lots of fish in so the wildlife followed them.

So much activity in a small space, makes shopping interesting!
Nice to see some poppies growing by the roadside on the way back.

The weather cheered up this afternoon so managed to cut the grass. Hasn't been done for 3 weeks so very long.
The crofter got the same idea and cut the fields today.

It stayed lovely so we made the most of it and went out for a bit. Lovely knot at Melby and a surprising number of sanderling. Also our highest ever count of puffins in the bay, although distant.

A lovely end to the evening with a beautiful sunset while the kitties played.
