New skills.

Robs birthday today. Unfortunately we had loads to do.

The weather did get better though.

Jill spent the day cutting plasterboard. Not done it before the renovations , so a new skill. The new lounge is now ready for some filling. Lots of the screw holes now done.

It's a bit messy!

The other new skill is looking OK. Last night before bed, we latexed the lobby floor. It didn't self level very well so Jill resorted to using hands. Surprisingly, it looks ok.

Jim gave up his Sunday, to finish he ingo in the last window and got the extension gutter up. As it was the first time for Jill, he checked the cut plasterboard and screwed it on.

He also fixed Jill's new gate. The concrete had cracked so it's now bolted to the wall!.

When the board was up, we went for a quick drive out Sandness. Both magpies were out collecting bugs which is exciting as they must have young - a first for Shetland.

There was a very loony loon too, not sure what it was doing but we wondered if a crab was attacking it's tail.

There was also a Scoutie Alan, Common and Arctic Terns.

It's been a good year locally for breeding redshank and Rob enjoyed photographing the skylark in the driveway.

Nice young Hooded Crow from the car window too.
