Yesterday was lovely. Only 7 degrees but felt much warmer so we were both outside. Rob pottering about tidying up and Jill did some more on the chicken run. Gate has been chicken wired and a top bar put on the fence line.
Jill also got round to planting some veggie seeds and putting up the recycled black mirror.
While it was warm enough to open the door for ventilation, the stripped door got another undercoat and a bit of filling.
Very exciting in the afternoon. Our friend Jaimie came out to put in the carpets. The green room is now done,
And the blue room almost. Jill's fault, not enough gripper rods. To be fair though its been rolled for ages so leaving it down for a bit before stretching will help lay it.
The pink room got its missing bit put in properly.
Jaimie will be back soon to finish it and do the runner.
A another coat on the door and a gloss coat on the stairs cupboard door. Jill tidied up the bits ov underlay and carpet and decided to restore the little bookcase we have. It was Jills grandmohgers and was very bashed and had 4 cup rings. Well, think it looks pretty smart now. Just need another coat of varnish on the top.
Then the double bed found its forever home! With a bit of swearing and sore knuckles.
