We have a meeting in Ipswich this week so we had booked the ferry for Monday to use up our free disability and carer trip, as the sailings are a bit all over the place due to dry dock sessions. We have given ourselves extra time to visit a few people too. We now have an extra day!
Unfortunately, mid afternoon Sunday we got a message from Northlink to say sailing cancelled. By the time we had got on the phone, Tuesday was full for cars. ' well there is space tonight' they said. So 3 hours later, with everything chucked in disarray in the car, we made it to the ferry.
The only thing we managed to get done was Jill put the first coat on the new cupboard door.
Actually it was a really calm trip too.
So, .. it was then the long drive South. Via Hull. We picked her up from work and Jill took some snaps in the marina. Some expensive boats there. The big yacht belongs to the charity Roanna works for, Catzero.
Then off to see Roannas new house and to have some tea.
Rob is doing well sticking to his new no cards diet and we managed to find something on the menu.
After a flying visit. Lovely house and good company it was a drive down to North Kyme for the night.
