First window marked out

Bruce has done a lovely job putting the timber frame in for the first upstairs window

It will give a lovely view.

Hopefully the window will be here next week. The staircase has arrived in Lerwick. Dfds shipped it timelessly which is great. That will be with us soon

Jim and Jill cleaned out the byre and got rid of timber we can't reuse. There isn't that much. Then all the insulation board went in there. They aren't heavy but they are slippery.

Jill did some minor sanding and cut up some of the excess wood. It will take a while!

This afternoon Jim went up and fixed a few minor leaks in the extension roof. Our last builder was asked to a temporary fix to get us to now but it didn't even closely, work. Holes are now sealed and will get permanently fixed when we take the tiles off to fix the windows in place.

Geri is a bit better from her bunged up virus and is still full of beans. She has discovered the joys of sweetie wrappers.

Doesnt look much like a frog

Jill likes orchids so after not finding a frog orchid the first time, we headed back to Unst and the Keen of Hamar. We had a tip that there...
