The sun shonefor the most of the day with just the odd wintery shower. It was pretty cold though. As we didn't go out yesterday we decided to go out fairly early.
We checked the local patch and we're delighted to find a single snow bunting and a small flock of Long Tailed ducks at Sandness. No photos though as it rained!
Then we headed South as Rob wanted to see the Yellow Warbler again and in the Sun. It definately obliged.
There were a few Redpolls around too.
Mic afternoon we drove further South and had a quick look for thrushes on Mossy Hill. We didn't find any, but the views were goodover St Ninians.
We drove back picking up the distant Cattle Egret that is still around, quite a few ducks at Spiggie and a few bits and bobs, including a Ringed Raven, in Lerwick.
To finish off the day, and just about in the dark, we watched a pair of young otters playing. They were having so much fun!
When we got home we discovered Jim had been in and finished the doorstep.
A really lovely day.
