First carpet in!

It was one of those days that you can see results . Jim was finishing up in the porch with a final coat of linseed and a last coat of paint. All it needs is a bit of touching up on the white, grout when the adhesive is dry and a better light switch. Then it just needs a chair, so we are on the hunt for one. We are thinking a nice wicker chair and a cane coat rack. We will be keeping our eyes on Cope.

Jim also tidied up the temporary door so there is no draft. Lots of foam involved!

Jill spent the morning giving the bathroom upstairs a quick sanding so the lino doesn't rip on rough bits and hoovering before the carpet went in.

Robs foot appointment was early today so we had a slow wandering home checking a few gardens. Didn't find much but a nice Redpoll.

There was still odd colour in the Bod garden.

Then we had Heron and Razorbill at Burrastow.

Jamie came over after work and laid the first bedroom carpet. It looks lovely.

He has also started laying the lino. Bit if a pause as it gas been rolled too long and has gone a bit bendy but it is coming along. Jamie will come back tomorrow.

Scenic trip out

Still snow on the ground so there has been nothing going on with the house. Unfortunately the new tablet Rob has been on for his heart made...
