Home safe and sound

Well, what a trip. Packed a whole summer holiday into two days with some amazing people.

The accommodation owner, Mai ( apologies, probably spelt it wrong), came very early to pick us up and drop us back at the pier. What an amazing host she is. Highly recommended in a stunning , stunning location. The track is a bit bumpy to say the least so us lasses, Jill, Penny and Rebecca, met the car at the top and Rob got in with the bags at the bottom. This gave us an extra chance on the bird and a chance on the sunrise.

Nothing disappointed and after dropping off the bags we got straight onto the Yellow Warbler. It showed really well again in many poses and lovely light so apologies to bore you with more photos of it.

There were also lots if Razorbills and Guillimots in the harbour.

It was a super couple of days. Our thanks go to the boat crew for helping Rob get on and off safely, Mai, Donna and her husband for finding it in the first place and sharing the news and giving Rob a lift and Penny; Rebecca and Chris for their company.

We did look forward to getting home as it was a bit rough and we wanted to see what Bruce had been up to. He had very kindly collected our new hens for us ( currently working on names) , refitted the panels to tie in with the stonework in the hall and finished sanding and varnishing the skirting. He also put varnish on a wooden picture for us

Foula, thank you, we will be back.

The weather has been decidedly wet and windy so we stayed in over the weekend but did get to visit Penny to see her fab decorations.   Toda...
