One good tern deserves another

 Bruce wasn't with us today, so Jim spent the day outside painting. It was a lovely day again which makes it hard as the house is a bit bright now!


It's really looking good now.

Jill tidied up the area by the front door and got rid if a lot of debris. The bit by the wall has been cleared and a small area in front of the wall created to keep the weeds away. It's a good way to use up the masses if broken slates we have bagged up.

A bit later than usual, Jill went out to check the local area. 4 willow warblers and a pied flycatcher at Dale and then lots of lovely waders on the beach at Melby.














There was also a wheatear on the rocks,


And the last Tern youngster was still there and was joined by the parent bird. They won't be there much longer as the youngsters is feeding well on its own.
