Community Repaint

The window bay that Bruce made looks so amazing we decided to leave it natural, so, it got filled and sanded so Jill could put a layer of matt varnish on it. It looks so lovely.

120 year old wood has a new lease of life.

We had some fun mixing paint as the colours we had were a bit strong so we created Strawberry Milkshake! 2 coats are on now.

We haven't mentioned on the blog but when we moved up, we bought about 15 cans of Farrow and Ball  paint that we got from Communityrepaint.org.uk in lowestoft. We are massively grateful, it has saved us a fortune.

Bruce then turned to the landing wall now the electricians have finished. It can finally be plasterboarded..

Poor Bruce now has a swollen knee from all the up and down of ladders in the last couple of days.

Jill also put the last coat on the bedroom ceiling. Getting a bit bored of painting to be honest!

Rob has been happily burning cardboard all day.

This evening Jill had a quick drive out to Sandness although it was drizzly. Trying to track down a grouse found instead curlew, whimbrel, and hares. Yay.

Sandness itself was a bit quiet but had both dark and light Arctic Skuas and some gulls.

Nice to catch up with Mrs Wigeon the the way home. She still has 7.

Looking forward to a trip to the cinema tomorrow.

Scenic trip out

Still snow on the ground so there has been nothing going on with the house. Unfortunately the new tablet Rob has been on for his heart made...
