Replacing leaking front door.

Well it's been in for nearly a year but we finally had the opportunity to take out the front door today so Jim can fit it properly. It's been a massive job to repair as the door had been measured incorrectly meaning the whole concrete floor had to come up so it could be lowered to fit the door. Only slightly cheaper than buying a new door!!.

Also, Jim has fixed the issue of actually getting in as the step in was pretty big and the sill was the wrong size to comfortably use as a step. Building regs will now be happy as we have two steps. ( Jill found one buried in the garden. Yay, something useful). 2nd one will go in when concrete is dry. Harl has been repaired around the door and window too. We are very grateful to Jim for fixing someone else's shody work.

Bruce has been helping Jim and working upstairs finishing the stud work on the fireplace and creating a new hearth that won't be a trip hazard. It will also now beautifully fit the tile we got from Garriocks closing sale.

Jill spent time in the attic using up some of the itey bits of insulation board left over. Waste not want not! Then it was outside to finish the peerie mini walled flower bed in the courtyard. Furst attempt at a stone wall. Just needs filling now.

We had a mini drive out to Melby yo see what was about. Over 30 Dunlin on the beach.

Also 4 Arctic Skuas interacting noisily. Sound a bit like a very loud Kittiwake.

A few other bits and bobs about too.
