Out of the fog

It started quite foggy. Making the new turbines look odd.

We headed out, avoiding the traffic jam....

Then we visited Lea Gardens plant sale and picked up a nice Asian Rowan for the garden.

We briefly stopped at Kergord and saw  Grey Wagtails and a pair of pied wagtails.

The sun started to come out and we drove east as we wanted to visit the charity shop on Whalsay.

There were hundreds of birds from the ferry, puffins, guillimots and gannets.

There were quite a few sheep on the golf course. It's the most northerly in the UK.
By the side of the course is the old runway. Jill walked it to see what was there. Lots of Skylarks, Ringed Plover and Bulbous Buttercups.

From a big distance we were lucky to be able to watch a red throated diver from the car. There were two youngsters too.

On the way home we had Cuckoo calling and Quail at Kergord.
It was a lovely day.
