It was warm and wind today so as Rob wasn't feeling great we had an exploring day and went North.
On the way we stopped at Voe Pier. Found a nice plant that clearly is doing well. Haven't a clue what it is but need to get some.
Our first new place was Sullom Wood which is a lovely place. Will take photos next time as it was dark and gloomy today. Nice cloud formations though.
And of course a traffic jam
We then did a.. .. wonder what's down here and found Gluss island.
Lovely spot and yet so close to the Gas Terminal. Surprised to find 3 puffins having fun and fishing just off the shore. Terns were trying to steal their fish. Also had a young wheatear.
Collafirth Pier was another quick stop before heading up Ronas Voe to Eshaness. Very pretty Road.
On the way home we had an oddly marked Mallard and heard Cuckoo, Quail and Golden Oriole ( brief sighting too) at Kergord
Great day but Rob went straight to bed when we got home!
