It was Robs 60th birthday yesterday so we were busy. The usual work was going on in the house and outside with some more 2nd coat painting, soil moving and windowsill making. Bruce, Jim and Jill were busy all day.
In the evening we decided to head off for the village quiz that we really enjoy. Unfortunately though, this one didnt go so well as there were lots of nil point rounds. It was very hard as over half the questions were about Shetland. Even the locals struggled. We know to avoid that particular quiz master next time!
Today we headed out for some bird watching. We heard, but didn't photograph, a lovely Icterine Warbler. Then Rob had yet another hospital appointment with the senior Physio team to see what they can do to help get him walking and more stable. Very thorough and should have been done years ago in Norfolk.
We did a bit more bird and pony watching.
We bumped into our friend Penny and popped past a house she is considering. It's in a lovely spot.
Jill found some very chilled seals at Lower Grimista.
Then we went to the Lerwick Hotel gor an amazing birthday meal.
On the way home we stopped to see the Osprey at Sandwater. It was distant but a Golden plover decided to say hi.
