It was lovely all day and hit 14 degrees just after lunch. This meant there was lots of outside activity. Several visits from Philip today. He's looking handsome
Jill got on with the last few bags of the old peat store and removed some more stone from the path to the Nissan hut. Rob did some tidying in the porch and Jim put the ladders up and worked on the roof. ( Bruce joined him up there in the afternoon)
Rather them than us up there! That's the last of the sealing done and the leak round the skylight fixed. Also the varnish on the windows was wearing off already so they have had a 1st coat of blue.
Bruce put up the lovely new lintel.
And made a matching windowsill.
Jill did a 2nd coat on the skirting and did a bit more hole filling. Well, they are old.
The call came out about a possible dark eyed junko just up the road so Jill nipped out after lunch and spent an hour and a half looking for it with one of the chaps who had seen it fly.. unfortunately we didn't refind it, but the Starling was doing a good rendition of its calk!
The Bod, where we thought it might gave headed, has a lovely garden.
Jill came back , had a quick coffee and collected Rob for a 2nd look. Still couldn't find it. So we took the long route home.
