The big melt

We awake this morning to very little of the white stuff left. The melt left some interesting standing snows by the roadside.

It was good to have the chaps back.

Bruce started with the rotten joists on the landing as he was worried the rotten bit was just about all that was holding up the landing. All fixed now.

Jim had a slightly later start as he has a leaking pipe to deal with at home. When he arrived they both got on with the lounge ceiling. It now has plasterboard on it.

Jill spent the morning undercoating

Before tea, although it was mighty cold in the wind, Jill popped out of a wander. It was really sunny so good to be out.

The Snow Buntings and Ringed Plovers where right next to the house. Luckily there was enough snow left to see mountain hares almost blending in!
The light on the way home was lovely.

It has started snowing again this evening so we hope it doesn't settle.

Scenic trip out

Still snow on the ground so there has been nothing going on with the house. Unfortunately the new tablet Rob has been on for his heart made...
