Bean good

Sort of day off ( with another tip trip. All rubble from lounge area now gone). We did a few bits and bobs in Lerwick and then had some bird watching time.

It was a but gloomy but we spent time looking for Iceland gulls. We did see 2 distantly but it didn't matter as the seals were performing. They were clearing up bits of fishing catch off the sea floor whilst trying to keep the gulls off. There was time for play too. How can you resist those eyes ( which can heal themselves after infection by the way)

We then headed to Sound to look for the Bean goose we kept missing and had success today

It was good to see numbers of oystercatchers about again. They have appeared over the last few days, also had Mergansers, Shovelor, Goldeneye and Hooded Crow.
