Work going on everywhere

Busy, busy, busy. There was so much going on today.

Michael was inside boxing in a window. It's going to have  super wide windowsill which will be really useful. Super job as always.

Patrick helped me finally get the gate post in. There was so much water and lots of mud! We have a temporary arbour holding it up.

We made concrete soup.

Patrick also sanded the plasterboard by the stairs and shifted some of the aggregate we had arrive today.

Jill moved some more peat. There isn't much left to move.

And then filled in some holes that have appeared in the driveway with all the trucks delivering. Sore back now!

The local stonemasons  arrived today too. Very exciting. It wasn't straightforward as it's a bog out there and the found a drainage rod pipe just under the wall - which is a really silly place for it to have been put.

It's coming on.

Bruce was up on the chimneys again getting ready to put in shutters and reseat ( concrete) the pots in. I think he regrets offering to help as it's a long way up and down the scaffolding.

We will see if we can borrow one of his photos from up top for the blog.

Lovely day a bit wasted

It was almost summer like today so it was good to be working outside. Jill carried on with the path. It's half done and looking  pretty...
