Birdie day

After yesterday, today's weather was totally different. There was the odd shower but it was mild with lots of sun.

We headed off to Yell for the rare Swainsons Thrush and managed to catch up with another Hornemanns Redpoll. The Thrush was quite distant but showed well.

We also had a redwing flyby

We then headed back to the mainland for another go at the Great Grey Shrike. We got it this time but again it was distant. Nice bird though.

On the way home we visited Brae Community wood. Lovely place but unfortunately no birds apart from a chiff chaff and a couple of Siskin.
