Unst

 Had a jolly day today with Sam.  The weather was amazing and we had a super day. Never seen so many diving gannets and fishing shag!







Scaw beach.Then we checked out the garden at Valyie. Jill took some very quick photos as we were with Sam and only had a fleeting visit. There were two yellow browed Warblers on call, a willow warbler and this chap that was there for just a few seconds. At the time we commented on it's green Ness and white under parts .  On checking we think we may have found a Western Bonellis Warbler or Bonellis sp but we didn't hear it call. have added a back view shot- all we have

Today, we did the museum tour. It was a very high tide near the car park.

Beaches

 Well, we had a great night and wool week ceremony at Clickimin. The music was amazing and we made new friends but it was a miserably wet drive home.

Today however started like this.....


 The weather forecast was all over the place and as we had Lewis in to do some electrical bits we left Rob at home and found some beaches. We did Little Spiggie, Scousbrough, Maywick, St Ninians and tried to do Levenwick but there was nowhere to park.

St Ninians is beautiful, cliffs, a ruined chapel and lots of fungi 



















There were lots of seals at Rerwick

Not much bird wise but some nice Wheatears up Mossy Hill
And Sanderling and 10 swallows

 We are still undecided on the warbler we put up yesterday  we have now asked lots of birders and they all think something different. We cha...
