We stayed in today as we had a heating engineer coming over to sort out the problems with the system. Valiant employed him as it's under warranty, but the bill will go to Warmworks/ Hughes. There were quite a few problems which have now been sorted. He checked all the rads and pipes. It has been installed with the wrong size pipes and the wrong type of radiators. Hmmmm.. we will feed this back to Warmworks and OFTEC.
Jill popped down to the shop to pick up our tickets for Burns night. Looking forward to it. As the sun was gorgeous it was worth a quick diversion, so it was down to Burrastow. The reflections were amazing.
The bay was full of seals again and the light was nice on another Curlew and a Redshank
Whilst watching the Curlew, Jill's s favourite appeared right below the car. The light was really harsh but it fished right near the car for about 20 mins.
Always a privilege. It headed off so Jill left it and moved further up the coast, hoping it would continue fishing. About 500 yards further up Jill found a wall to hide behind and waited. It was a good hiding spot. Too good. After a bit of fishing. It came ashore about 15ft away. It came ashore and had a 20 minute snooze just below the wall.
It was all good until....
It woke up and started walking right towards Jill. Trying to back up a bit and hide further behind the wall, she stood on some ice and slipped , sliding on her back, through the mud down the hill!!. Funnily enough this got her noticed.
But, then it.......
Settled down and went back to sleep!. By this time Jill was well positioned, having coming to a stop in a very muddy burn absolutely soaked in mud!.
It didn't bother at all until a seal came to hassle it. It then decided to head off, but he still knew Jill was there. He just sauntered away.
Soo lucky
Then was the tricky bit. Getting back to the car without slipping over again.
The locals already call us the nice, bonkers English who bought the Haa, now they know it's true. So much mud!!!!!!!
