Its ruff

 Jill finished laying the slates by the door. Just need to finish the steps now that's done.

Today we were supposed to go to Out Skerries and our guest, Phoebe, was going to come too. Unfortunately the weather had other ideas. It was pretty windy.

Phoebe headed to Eshaness, a good place on a windy day, Rob had a computer day and Jill cleaned and headed out for a couple of hours this afternoon.

There was a Willow Warbler and Pied Flycatcher at Dale and a  lovely female Ruff in the burn at Melby beach. What a treat. Not that much about but what as there was utilising the fresh water in the burn. They were getting a bit sandblasted though!.

It's only the 2nd Ruff we have had on Melby beach. The gannets were making the most of the bay and coming in quite close to sure trying to avoid the wind.
