Good company

Lucky with the weather again today for another lovely personal assistant day with Mark.

He has not been at all well so it was good to get him out of the house for a bit but we took it easy.

We headed North  to North Roe stopping of at the mast looking towards Ronas Hill. It was a bit windy but clear.

We ate lunch  in the car and then headed North again.  Checking out some lovely views in the area we also found a sweet new beach at Sand Voe. We had it all to ourselves and found some Goose barnacles all the way from The Americas.

There was some lovely cloud formations on the way home.

It was a good day but tinged with sadness as  Jill got to see clearly how Mark's condition affects his life. It is a terrible illness but it is really good to be able to help just a little bit. Epilepsy and CPTSD sucks but he copes so well.

Its safe

Jill went for a walk down to the beach and cliffs. Haven't been for a few weeks as the tirricks were getting a bit shabby dive bombing but they seem to have done well this year.

A couple of ours sea watching was good. 40 plus tysties, 16 Red throated divers,

Lots of Gannets,

shags, cormorants, kittiwakes, fulmars and a bonxie.

Today was kitchen cupboard cleaning day. They look better!

Paint and shears

We have had a paint factory outside as the weather has been nice. Jim cutting and Jill painting. Probably more paint on Jill than on the skirtings! Especially when she tripped and landed on a newly painted board.

Jim also put the door mat and weather seal in round the front door.

The bathroom cupboard is coming on and all three upstairs rooms have had a good clean, beds made and paintwork touched up. All ready for guests.

Just need a couple of pictures up in Whaap and Tirrick

Yesterday we popped to Sandness for a bit in the evening. It was quiet but there were around 80 terns, Common and Arctic on Norby beach.

The Wren family are doing well.

Today was  full of sheep baa's as Alan was up with his team shearing. Always good to watch.

Bentley stayed out of the way and found a box.
