Hhmmm. Not sure

We took a risk as the weather was murky dismal this morning but it was worth it. This afternoon was stunning on the Skerries.

It started well with lots of guillimots on the sea.

When we arrived Jill saw a large ish pipit and took a photo. It's a rubbish photo as it was distant but, we are not sure as it was larger than expected and had a very thick/ obvious eye stripe. We think it might be a Scandinavian Rock Pipit but will work on it.

Then we found  our first Swallow if the day  we had 3.

During the day we had 12 chiffchaffs who all played hard to get. 5 were in the same field and were really distant.

It seemed fairly quiet until Jill found a new spot up by the coastguard look out. It was beautiful and very busy with 11 wheatears in one spot and 8  Ringed plovers chasing each other around. Jill sat and watched them for 30 minutes.

There wasn't much else but Jill was fascinated at a rabbit climbing a wall.

We did have a handsome dog otter run right by the car on the harbour when we had lunch. It didn't stay around long enough to get the camera out though.
