Weather change.

 The last couple of days have been cold and windy. Today added rain so not much  going on in the extension. Jim I'd a few hours finishing to the top of the North side on Tuesday whi h he deserves a medal for it was blooming chilly!

The cats have spent most of the time indoors. Can't say we blame them.

Jill has been keeping her fingers crossed.

Tomorrow's she is escaping on her own for the weekend to meet Sam and Ro in London for a birthday weekend

 Hopefully the wind will calm down enough to fly to Aberdeen! Early start in the morning . Rob has a fridge full of very easy to cook goodies while Jill is away.

Nice day out

 Saturday was quite nice so we went for a dri ve. Started at Quendale and Hillwell. Didn't reconnect with the bufflehead but found a carrion crow at St Ninians and the American wigeon at Hillwell

On Sunday Jill went over to a friend's at Syfster to get some willow cuttings, which went straight into the ground. Hopefully they will take. It was trying to snow so was very cold but there was a lovely Goldeneye and a Canada Goose near the Brig o waas.

Jim did some more work on the roof although it's cold out there. He has started on the North side.

jill was out today passing up tiles and cutting copper wire . The wire is for the edge tiles. Front side is done.

 The roof is coming on nicely. Luckily the weather is being really kind.

The hipped roof was definately a good choice.

Jill went for a walk down to the beach. It was so peaceful and it was good to see lots of fulmars on the cliffs.

There was a large flock of curlew by the loch and a smart drake Goldeneye 

The cats seem pleased to have Spicey back home.

It was quiz night so we had a great time with our friends at the hall. Hard questions tonight.

 Did an aurora check when we got home. Jill likes to check on her mobile before getting the camera out. None tonight but the moonlight gave a good night sky.

Good introduction

 Another absolutely stunning day here on Shetland. We must have done something good and are being spoilt!

Jill was outside again . Yet more path. Unfortunately, now run out of cement so there is a bit unfinished in the middle.

Jim was back on the roof. Tiles going up.

While we were working, Jim played some of his sons music. Reuben has a band called Oscar Charlie. Jill thought it was awesome. Not sure Fergus, Jim's dog, was that impressed! 

Then a clear sky and stunning sunset.
