There was a bit of aurora last night but the best bit was the absolutely stunning night sky. We are so lucky!
Jim is off down South next week but he managed to get the tiles on around the velux window.
Before Robs hospital appointment, Jill managed to mix some concrete.
After Robs appointment we headed towards Brae for an Orca fix. This single male has been in the same area all week, which is un usual. It was doing a lot of deep diving looking for food. He is a new visitor to shetland and is unidentified and not from one of the usual pods.
We watched him for a couple of hours but he stayed distant. A grey heron did put on a show though.
On the way home, we had a quick diversion to Sandness. The tide was a really long way out so it was quiet, but there were a few curlews and around 30 purple sandpipers.
