Blog holiday

Well they say absence makes the heart grow fonder!

Actually, we had to belt down to Aberdeen to collect the car and the ferries  WiFi was more rubbish than usual.

So, before we left, Jill added some more to chicken knox.

Still needs a bit more work but they didn't get out while we were away so hopefully polecats can't get in.

Also the patio is sort of half done. Unexpected rain  stopped play

Then we headed to the ferry. Very calm crossing.  Got to Aberdeen safely and went straight to the car wash. Larson looked amazing when we said goodbye.

But it was exciting picking up our new electric beastie.

It's a bit of learning curve. Especially as motability still haven't put in the home charger. Our first attempt at charging in Tesco car park didn't go too well either. Cable wouldn't release from the point.
We did take it for atrip to make sure everything was OK before heading home so found a few birdies too.

Got pretty wet doing it though. Constant rain.

We did a peerie bit of shopping. Only Jill can get excited when she manages to find a retailer selling white cement!

Then back on the ferry. Jill rescued a storm Petrel from the playful dogs on the pet deck. After a breather tucked in a dark jacket and a quick health check, it flew off towards Bressay

Back home we checked on the cats and then had a visit from our heating engineer, Tommy before a visit to the big Clickimin craft fair.
