Clickimin Broch

This morning we visited the local area around Sandness. It was a typical January day, wet and windy!

We did see some big seas and a few bits and bobs of wildlife although  most things were hiding up. Nice big flock of Long Tailed ducks, Seals and Shags at Melby.

Even the hares were playing hard to get.

Quick stops for scenery at Norby and Bousta,

then Burrafirth  and through the Kergord Valley. We had a lovely visit to Clickimin Broch. Jill hadn't visited before so it was lovely to take Roanna

Then it was  a quick check of the harbour which came up trumps with an Iceland Gull

And then to Saffron for a lovely curry. Yum.

Good end to a lovely day.
