House full of electricians ( and Bruce)

 Bruce did some titivating in the kitchen, putting in the vent, measuring skirting and kick plates.

The electricians sorted lots of sockets in the kitchen/ lounge  and put the lights in.

We decided one of the cupboards was starting to sag in the old kitchen. It was time to take it down, so we spent the morning emptying it and taking it down. We will need to replace the plasterboard.

Jill also started clearing the upstairs room yet to be tackled. Some has gone up to the attic. Whole she was up there she found the bits to the table we bought for the new kitchen room.

Early Sandwich

 We are well pleased with the flooring Bruce put down today. We bought it months ago, which was a bit risky, but it is perfect.

Jim made the most of the sunshine and went up to paint.

Jill moved the last of the slates and took to chopping up the old stinky bits if wood for the fire. Might as well use it!

Rob had an appointment at the Doctors so we took the long way home. Good decision as we had an early returned Sandwich Tern and the Mark Spitz of the otter world, vanishing as quickly as it came. The usual birds were also on the beach.

On the way home we had amazing close encounters with Mountain Hares.

Never tire of these beautiful creatures.

Almost another room done

 Bruce got straight on with the kitchen/ lounge room. It's almost finished. The flooring can go in tomorrow.

Jim worked on the front door and porch. The door now has its stops in so it closes properly.

Jill spent time cutting some gash wood for the fire with her new table saw. There is plenty to cut,and moving some more slates. The pile is definately going down.

Then it was moving the ketler plastic mini shed up the garden as it blows around in the wind, and putting it up in the Nissan hut. Jill spotted the feral cat squeezing out if a hole into it. We think she might get pregnant again so giving her somewhere comfortable might help us catch her at some point.

After that, although the wind was ferry chilly, Jill planted a few more potatoes. Last years veggie patch is still small, but twice the size. It's OK if Rob puts on weight!

Rob spent the day making phone calls trying to sort our lousy broadband and source the solar panels. 

While he was finishing up, Jill went for a quick drive before tea to see what was avout. Nice to see wheatears back on the patch and fueldfares and redwings passing through. The Magpie us still around too  it must very lonely now.

Lots of common gulls along the road to the house.
