Anyone would think we lived near the Arctic ....

 Oh wait- we do.

Still snowy but at least today the wind dropped right off so,  as we still can't get out of Watsness, at least Jill could go for a walk.  Big numbers of Greylags and Golden plover still. Quite a few snipe by the loch and 3 Jack Snipe just by the house. A few tufties, golden eye and wigeon in a small area of unfrozen loch and some ravens.

The Starlings have been coming to the garden in big numbers. They have nearly got through a 10kg bag of seed this week. They are sharing a bit with the Rock Doves, Blackbirds and a male Chaffinch

Finally made it

Jill has been wanting to visit Fethaland, at the very far North of mainland, for ages. Today was the day. Lovely sunny weather for a change...
