Crawling

Our usual spring Sunday on Skerries today.

The harbour was busy with 6 Red throated divers chasing each other around and posturing. It was fun to watch.

2 other birdwatchers were on Skerries overnight and found an Eastern Subalpine Warbler so we headed for the garden to see it first.
We waited ages for it to show and it then spent the whole time skulking. No nice photos!

We had a few fly overseas, Cuckoo, song thrush and Common Sandpiper.
Some of the other birds are below.

We had a good day.
On the way home we diverted to Lerwick for a showy grasshopper  warbler. They always sing well in the evening.

Rob managed to see it but had a little trouble getting back, so he crawled!.

Finally made it

Jill has been wanting to visit Fethaland, at the very far North of mainland, for ages. Today was the day. Lovely sunny weather for a change...
